The ZyDesk Operator software application enables you to operate your IP phone by your computer.

 

You are able to:

  • Automatically forward calls
  • Manually forward calls
  • Answer calls
  • Place calls
  • Put calls on hold
  • Answer the phone of colleagues
  • Send text messages directly from ZyDesk Operator to a user's telephone.

 

With the ZyDesk Operator absence function you are able to update your accessibility status with a few key strokes. You can choose from a number of adjustable standard events that can be easily and fast selected on the keyboard. ZyDesk Operator will then update the calendar and eventually forward calls to a colleague or the switchboard.

 

Standard events:

  • Lunch at <time> + 30 minutes
  • Not available from <time> + 30 minutes
  • Gone for the day at <time>
  • At meeting from <time> + 30 minutes / +60 minutes / + 90 minutes
  • On sick leave
  • Forward calls to (number selected by administrator or user).

 

Technical description

On the client side ZyDesk Operator supports Windows XP (SP 2).

 

On server side support for:

  • Windows 2003 and 2008 Server
  • Cluster-enabled Apache Tomcat web server solutions
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager Clusters v. 5.x, 6.x and 7.x

 
Furthermore, ZyDesk Operator supports 32- and 64-bit Microsoft SQL servers as single or cluster solution.

 

ZyDesk Operator is a part of Zylinc's ZyDesk suite and can be implemented as stand alone or integrated with one or more of the other ZyDesk applications:
