Authenticate users through Azure Active Directory

This information is primarily for administrators and/or people who manage Zylinc solutions

Users can log in to your Zylinc Novus solution with their Azure Active Directory credentials. However, to be able to authenticate Novus users against an Azure Active Directory, you should first create an app registration in Azure:

When you create the app registration in Azure, you'll need the redirect URI supplied with your Novus solution. Here's an example of what a redirect URI can look like, but your actual redirect URI is likely to be different: https://server13.zylinc.cloud/13/auth/signin-aad

Run the appropriate script supplied with your Novus solution to create the required app registration in Azure.

Together with the script, you'll have received information about which rights you must have to perform the required tasks on Azure. If you don’t know if you have those rights, ask your organization’s main Azure administrator to help you.

Azure App Registration for Active Directory Authentication

  1. Log in to your Novus Configuration Manager, and, in the Azure Active Directory user authentication section, select Azure Active Directory settings.

  2. Specify your Azure Tenant ID.

    It’s typically your primary domain name on Azure.

  3. In Client ID, paste the application ID from your Azure Active Directory user authentication app registration.

  4. In Client secret, paste the client secret from your Azure Active Directory user authentication app registration.

  5. Click Save.
